Green Smart Magazine : GreenSmart 2010
Two national and four state HIA awards for 2009 is a great achievement for a company that's just five years old. For Jade Projects Australia directors Jason Janssen and Daniel Smee the accolades cement their business blueprint that sustainability and affordability can live side-by-side. 'We are doing all of this to prove that you can build lasting homes today, and make them efficient, affordable and repeatable first off so that they benefit ourselves, our children and the wider community,' Jason says. Their two HIA GreenSmart awards -- Energy Efficiency and Project Home of the Year -- are for their project Jade 808, an eight- star family home in Perth. It was built in partnership with Think Brick Australia. 'The 808 is an improvement on our 707 house, and the intention was to design and construct a highly water- and energy-efficient home by using the standard method of construction used in Perth, while ensuring affordability and repeatability was achieved,' Jason says. Affordability, sustainability and future proofing go hand-in-hand in this award-winning home. future proofing eight-star story > Annie Reid 36 greensmart 2009 smarthomes
